My friend Dena just left the area, she moved to Nevada with her family. On the way, she stopped in her hometown in California to let her mom dog sit for her. With husband and kids it would be difficult to find a house to live in etc so it made sense to leave him there for a little while.
Flyer is a purebred German Shepherd that has won many awards in his lifetime. He is beautiful. Dena’s grandfather spent most of his life raising and showing German Shepherds and when he passed away his dogs were given to family. Dena spent many weekends at dog shows. She loves Flyer.
While dogsitting, Dena’s mom put Flyer in a kennel with a couple of other family dogs. The dogs got into a fight and her mom got in to try to break it up. Flyer ended up biting Dena’s mom and she had to be hospitalized. And now, with a heavy heart, Dena has decided that she will put him down. She has small children but can no longer trust him…
I know this is so hard. I am going to pray for her and her family.
